Logan's 1st Birthday Post #3--Logan's Real Birthday

Logan's 1st birthday was today and we had so much fun.  It was a really low key day.  We went to church, came home, ate a little bit of food, went to Break the Fast, came home, got the presents out and skyped with my parents.  We skyped while Logan opened up gifts and then sang and gave him cake.
We bought a ball pit for Logan.  And we thought that 20 balls would be plenty (because on the box the kids look like they're having fun with a large amount of balls!)  Well, it turns out that 20 was definitely not enough.  Logan and Evan both enjoyed playing in it still.  We set up Saturday night and he saw it Sunday morning first thing when he woke up and was really excited.

He also got a little talking puppy and a Mickey Mouse wagon.  He got his first Little People toy from Nana and Poppa (a cute tractor).  He got a couple of books from Auntie Sarah and a ton of Circus Animal cookies to eat.
Crawling to the ball pit.

He was so curious to see what was inside.

Playing with the balls.

Happy little guy.

Another pic of Logan and I.
We are so thankful for Logan.  Our family feels way more complete now than it did when we just had Evan.  I love this kid so much.  He and his big brother have so much sibling rivalry going on it is insane.  But, I am really looking forward to watching them grow up together and get bigger.  He doesn't walk yet... He's way more into crawling and standing at the moment, but I have a feeling that he'll take off in the next month or so.  What a wonderful family we have.

Logan's 1st Birthday Post #2--Birthday Dinner

Both of our families have a tradition of taking out the kids to their favorite restaurant for their birthday.  Since Logan's birthday landed on a Sunday, we decided to go out on Saturday night.  We thought going to Logan's Roadhouse for Logan's first birthday was a cute idea.  We also invited our close friends, Jill and Mike and their two kids to come with us to dinner.  We consider them to be our closest family friends here, and we thought it was fitting to have them come out with us.  Logan loved his food.  He eat so much mac and cheese it was crazy.  And he got his first chocolate milk.  So that was AWESOME.  The servers even came around and announced that at Logan's Roadhouse, Logan was celebrating his 1st Birthday!  Yee-Haw!  Logan was slightly confused at that.  And once again, he was spoiled far too much for his own good by the Study family.  Little stinker.

Eating yummy mac and cheese.  And he loves trying to use his fork.

This is when they were announcing his birthday.

He was a little concerned.

He's really excited, if you can't tell!

Silly Evan was there too.

Anyways, that's post 2 of 3 for Logan's 1st birthday.  (I really just took a ton of pictures!)

Logan's 1st Birthday Post #1--Mickey Playgroup

Yes, the post title is a mouthful.  This year, for Logan's 1st birthday, we decided to do an informal playgroup for his birthday celebration with a few of his little friends.  Of course I went overboard with the decorations.  I wanted to do all my own homemade decorations, but I also know my limits, so I just ended up ordering everything online for his party.  Logan and Evan both LOVE Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.  Since Logan was 6-7 months old, he would always light up and start smiling when he saw Mickey, so I have known for a while that we were going to do a Mickey Mouse Clubhouse themed party.

It was a lot of fun planning everything, and finding the best deals at different websites.  And it was exhausting to plan everything out, but I tend to go overboard, so of course I ended up getting sick after everything was over!  Oh well!  It was well worth it.  Both boys were super excited to see all of the Mickey stuff around the house yesterday morning when they came downstairs.
The kids loved this Mickey scene that I hung up.
