30 Days of Thanks-Day 2

I am thankful for the temple. 

This is the temple that Rick and I were married in.  We are sealed together for eternity--so even though we'll both die, we'll still be married to each other.  Our children are also sealed to us.  I don't have to worry about Evan and the new baby behind when we leave this earth... they will join our family in due time. 

 This is the Los Angeles California temple.  My parents were married and sealed to each other in this temple 39 years ago.  I am so happy that my family will be eternal.

One of my favorite songs is: "Families Can Be Together Forever".  I will always be thankful that our family can be together forever, and that is only through Jesus and the true gospel.

30 Days of Thanks- Day 1

Day 1---The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints

I am thankful for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.  So much encompasses this church.  I'm thankful for Christ, who is my savior.  I am grateful for The Book of Mormon and The Holy Bible.  I'm thankful for the prophet of the true church (President Thomas S. Monson).  I'm thankful for the priesthood and modern day revelation. I'm thankful for the love, hope and truth that is found in these last days through the church. 

So many things to love about this church---this is only the icing on the cake.  There is so much more that I want to express about the church, but I have to save that for tomorrow and the next day.  

Super Evan

So, Evan has a cousin that is a year old than him (Oliver).  Oliver was a dalmatian last year for Halloween.  So this year, Evan gets to be a dalmatian.  The best part about this costume is that my mom (nana) made it.  My mom is bringing it with her on Thursday when she and my dad get here to spend a few days with us.  Then, I found out that Rick's squadron had a family fall festival... so, Rick and I decided that we could make a cheap costume for Evan to wear the the festival.   He was Super Evan and he was definitely cute.

We had a lot of fun at the squadron festival.  There was food, games, sweets and lots of cute kiddies.  Evan loved running around, booming (throwing) everything into his treat bag, and eating the cupcakes and other sweets. 

Evan's First Pumpkin Patch Trip

Last weekend we went to Gaver Farm near Frederick, Maryland.  I've always wanted to go to a pumpkin patch, and with Evan getting a little bit older, I thought it would be fun if we all went as a family. 

We headed out and had a ton of fun that Saturday.  There was so much for the little kids to do.  We didn't even get to do the corn maze... it was a lot of fun just playing games with Evan.

 We had a fun time.  As much as I really don't like Maryland, I am really starting to like that there is a lot to do in the area.  We're looking forward to Thanksgiving and Christmas stuff to do.  And looking forward to my parents coming this week!
