Mississippi

And... we are in Mississippi! We've been here for about two weeks. We just got internet o
Friday and we finally had our things arrive (military moved them for us) this past Monday.
So, I am still unpacking and organizing with a very active 8 month old. In fact, Evan loves the boxes. And everything I take out is a new toy for my little man to play with.

Evan is crawling everywhere and getting into everything. He is also pulling himself up on furniture. We're still going strong with nursing (like he'd let me wean him!). And here is a pic of my little guy.
Evan in his new high chair courtesy of the silent auction at Just for me and you blog. I was able to get this high chair for $25.
And in his walker thanks to the silent auction as well ($23). Thankfully he hasn't learned how to properly work this thing yet, but it won't be long.
Mississippi is probably the most humid place I've lived. But it is gorgeous. There is green everywhere, with big pretty trees. I don't think I would settle here, but our ward is very nice and welcoming, and like I said, the green stuff is gorgeous. And after living in Arizona for three years, it's nice to see a lot of rain.
Our house is really nice. I will post pictures of everything once we're more settled, which at this rate, will probably be in September! I am so grateful that we don't have to worry about paying rent and utilities right now.
I am still adjusting to being a stay at home mom. It gets to be crazy sometimes, and I find myself looking at substitute teaching positions or other job openings, and then Evan comes up to me and starts smiling and I know it's all worth it, even the occasional boredom.

  1. Glad you got moved ok. I would for sure love to see pics of your house! It seems like every other AFB has nicer houses than here :P but thats what makes it ... sort of bearable. It can only get better from here!
