Then there was a fall...

I have been doing really well with jogging lately.  I've been able to run 25 minutes plus (more like jog slowly, but it's still pretty good for me).  Well, today I went out, and I had a really good pace that was faster than usual, but slow enough that I wasn't gasping for breath the entire time.  Well, after about two minutes into it, I fell.  Hard.  On the sidewalk and busted up my left hand, knees, and left ankle.  I'm kind of surprised I didn't fall earlier.  I'm a really clumsy person.  Thankfully, nobody saw me.  I turned around and gimply walked home.  Now, I'm just upset!  I only have 3 weeks until my first 5K that I was going to jog/run the entire way.  At first I thought I just scraped myself up, and then I saw that my right knee had almost doubled in size.  Hopefully, it's just a bad bruise.  But I don't feel like taking chances with my knee, so if it's not better by Tuesday, I'm calling the doctor. Hopefully it will be better in the next week so I can keep training for my 5k.

  1. I have a friend who goes running with her dog. She fell the other day, and tried blaming it on the dog. Too bad someone saw! :P At least nobody saw you!! That is the worst part of falling, when somebody sees that it was purely your fault! :P Hope it heals quickly. Make sure you rest it up & ice it lots!
