Annoying Pinterest captions and hashtags
I love pinterest, but the captions that people sometimes write really bug the heck out of me. Examples include: "Pin now, read later" and bad grammar or spelling. I know that I am not perfect with writing and grammar, but so many of those captions really just make me mad. And then there's the self-promotion for blogs. It honestly drives me crazy when people pin their own stuff, from their own blog. I know they're trying to market their blog and get an audience going, but I feel like it would be more meaningful if somebody else did it for them. Oh, and don't even get me started on hashtags. Since when has # before a sentence ever signified something super important or meaningful? NEVER! If it's important, you use a bold print or underline it. Those hashtags drive me crazy. I have facebook friends that use them, and I really just try to ignore it, because I like those friends of mine, but I really hate hashtags. Yuck. I feel like it's just another way to demean our English language. Blah.
