Day 29: Music and Memories

Socco Amaretto Lime--Brand New  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3LE1Bd_wX1M
This song just reminds me of college.  I vividly remember sitting in a friends car when this song came on right before another friend of mine turned 19.  We cranked this up and were singing it at the top of our lungs.  And, that was the first time I had ever heard it.  And, I have grown tired of it.

Invierno--Reik http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=47G1ZxcBYEc
This is mine and Rick's song.  It's a beautiful song, especially if you understand Spanish!  If you don't you can always google the lyrics in English, and it is still pretty, but not quite the same.

Richard Corey--Simon and Garfunkel http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=asqQGVu940E
Simon and Garfunkel are one of my favorite music groups of all time.  I loved listening to them while growing up, and this is one of my favorite songs by them.   It's actually from a poem, and the reason why I like it so much is that it is a reminder that things aren't always what they appear to be, and money isn't everything.

Defying Gravity--Idina Menzel and Kristin Chenoweth http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FlMBcTGJ4YM
Just a reminder that you can do defy gravity.  Or at least try to.  :)  I just really, love, love, love this song.

Our Savior's Love--- (I don't have the hymn on me to see who wrote it, but I do love this version by the Mormon Tabernacle Choir)  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GZW3sj2TKsw
This is my favorite hymn to sing in church.  I have a lot of favorites, but this is definitely one that gives me chills every time it is sung by a choir or by the congregation during Sacrament Meeting.  Even when I have my kids going crazy, this songs just brings such peace and love to my heart.  Love it.
