Day 30: Letting Go--A Reaction

One of the hardest things for me to do is to let go of the things that I can't control.  I'm a planner.  And I like to have things organized.  I want to know what's happening in our lives. 

I am learning though, that is definitely so not possible.  Things happen in our lives that we don't expect, and it's not what we're going through that defines us, but how we react to the situations that we're put in.  I've been having an especially hard time right now with the military, my body, and my health.

Lately I've been having annoying health issues.  Never anything serious, but small things that put me back for a while.  I'm also learning that I need to be grateful for the body that I have, and instead of being focused on "losing weight", I should instead just try to do my best to remember that the body I have houses my spirit, and I should try my best to keep myself as healthy as possible.

Letting go also means forgiving myself and others their mistakes and sins.  I know that when you let go of the things that tie us down, we will have so much more freedom and peace in our lives.  Letting go of grudges, and trying to find the best in others, will help us feel not only better about others, but about ourselves as well.

Letting go means that no matter what, you don't let anything stand in the way of what you want.  Let go of all the things that hold me back, that aren't necessary, or uplifting, and I will find myself in a better situation than before.
