5 Bed Rest Activities

5 things that I've been doing on bed rest:

1) Researching cloth diapers
-We've decided to go with cloth diapers because it will be cheaper. The nice thing is that this is going to be a trial period; I'm not seriously committed to cloth diapers, but Evan will be in them until he's around 15 pounds, and if we still like them, we'll keep going; if not, disposable it is. The main reason for this decision: money. Cloth is a lot cheaper than disposable, but I'll still use disposable for going out and road trips because who wants to actually keep a dirty diaper in their bag? I know that I sure don't want to do that.
2) Reading
- I finished the Mortal Instruments Trilogy (City of Bones)
- I finished "Hunger Games"- great book and I really want to read the next one, but the library doesn't have it yet. :(
-Now I need some more books to read.
3) Ultrasound yesterday.
- the technician measured the amniotic fluid, and it's completely average now, so now i'm not carrying extra fluid.
-more good news: the baby's head is average size now. before the head was about 3 weeks ahead of the rest of his body. looks like the rest of his body caught up to his head size, thank goodness.
4) Writing in the baby book.
- I wrote a letter to Evan, glued the ultrasound pictures in the book, and tried doing some more, but since the baby isn't even here yet, it's a little difficult.
5) Reading to Evan
- I decided to start reading to Evan. It's pretty neat. Since I don't know how appropriate some content is for my unborn child, I've decided to be safe and have included Evan in my scripture study. So, I read aloud to him everyday a chapter from The Book of Mormon. He always starts squirming a lot more when I start reading. I take this as a sign that he enjoys listening to me read.
