My parents came to visit us this past week. The boys loved having their Nana and Poppa to pay attention to them the entire time. And Nana and Poppa loved being with them. The boys recognized them immediately, even though it's been a while. I am going to say it's because of skype. We skype with them every Sunday, and the boys always run (or in Logan's case, waddle) over to see them on the computer.
Anyways, Friday my parents showed up and we went to Beauvoir, which is where Jefferson Davis lived after the Civil War. It was a really neat house and area, small but a beautiful view of the gulf/swamp that is Biloxi beach.

On Saturday, we headed to Gulf Shores, Alabama. My dad wanted to stand in the gulf to compare the water temperature to the Pacific. And I told him that the Biloxi water was gross, so we went to Gulf Shores instead. We got stuck in traffic on the way, so it was a little bit longer than we wanted it to be. But, I think everyone enjoyed the beach once we got there. Of course, it was super duper hot at the beach still. Thankfully nobody got fried by the sun too badly.

Such a ham. |

He also loved playing in the sand and mud. |

Tasting the sand. Yum. |

On Sunday we went to church and then just relaxed when we came home.

On Monday, Evan headed to his soccer camp for the first day (it only lasted 2 days...it was pretty horrible). After the soccer camp, we relaxed and then went to a quilt shop. On my parent's trips my mom stops at as many quilt shops along the way to buy fabric and visit. We then went out to dinner, which was an adventure. We were going to go to the favorite seafood place that is super yummy. But, whoops, the local place is not open on Mondays.
We then took mom and dad to our very favorite place to eat here,
Sicily's which is this super good pizza and Italian buffet. Yummy.

Evan getting ready for his soccer camp. Too bad he didn't like it that much! (Logan is photo bombing) |
 |
Evan had to take kitty cat with him, of course. |
 |
I look horrible, but it was the only pic of Evan running/standing up on the field. |
 |
See, the rest of the time he just sat down or laid on the field. |

We were so happy that my parents could visit with us. The boys and I miss them so much!
