Busy, busy, busy. That basically describes what the last few months (since Sadie joined us) has been.
Transitioning to three children has been a little hard. I feel like we're finally getting used to a routine. Evan adores Sadie, and Logan is starting to get more and more used to her. The other day she was crying and Logan went up to her and started shaking her hand and helped her calm down. March, April, and May went by so quickly.
Sadie has been growing by leaps and bounds. She is a real sweetheart, but has a bit of a temper if you make her mad. She is definitely a daddy's girl. She has the fattest little cheeks and loves eating and being held. Maybe I just spoil my babies, they never like sitting, laying down or sleeping on their own.
This summer I'm just trying to stay sane, get in an exercise routine, keep the house relatively clean, eat lots of fruit, read and get a few organizing projects done that I've been meaning to get to.
In May Sadie and I flew out to Utah and then drove down to Vegas (same day!) with my parents for my Grandma Williams funeral. The services were nice, and I got to see my brother Aaron. We then drove back up to West Jordan, where my parents live, and stayed a few more days visiting family. Sadie got to meet her cousins, Oliver and Casey and her Aunt Bethany and Uncle Russ. I had a great time seeing my
family and I'm grateful Rick has a job where he can take leave.
We're planning on a big trip to Phoenix this summer in the car, for Rick's sister Maria's wedding. It should be fun and exhausting all at the same time. I'm planning on doing my first 1/2 marathon in September. I am training right now---fun, fun, fun. I must be insane. Evan still has another year of preschool to get caught up with his peers in speech and other stuff. I'm trying to read to him a lot more, because I think that helps more than anything. He starts occupational therapy in addition to speech next week.
